Ecto the database driver for Phoenix is probably the most amazing piece of software I've used. Elegant dx, performant and just enough of an abstraction on SQL. [1]: https://github.com/elixir-ecto/ecto

I built a full pipeline around this. Basically allowed for a paved road for devs to automatically semantically version and deploy application and module artifacts for npm with semantic release by spinning up a repo with some boilerplate gen

I absolutely adore taiga.io though. I’ve only recently stopped using it to give Linear a try; but damn did I feel like they made your sprint planning run on rails with the features and flows they built.

I love this. This reminds me of a personal tradition I have come up with for birthdays called "Two questions". If I'm invited to someone's birthday, I ask two questions: - What was the most important thing that you learn

How is this front page material? Maybe I need to write a post about my qmk x karabiner x keyboard maestro set up because I’m kind of surprised. - No tap and hold keys - No hyper escape - No latch keys This all seems pedestrian from a keyboa

Love that you're putting this out there, but what's the difference between this and VisualStudio code or another editor du jour?

Am I missing something or should v0.0.2 really be v0.1.0 considering that there are more than bug fixes in the release?

I just want to point out that I love the word octothorp and more people should know that the “hash” or “crunch” has a true name :). I’m pretty sure the first time I ran into the word was in Learn Python the Hard Way.

Always recommend an exocortex! I can't live without taking notes on the daily. Slightly related but I also built a light plugin that works with vscode. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=vscode-n... . M

Slightly off topic, but I'm a bit of a paper snob at this point. While Moleskine is not the bottom of the barrel I still find for use with fountain pen inks they're not the best. You haven't lived until you try out some Tomoe

I read this years ago on HN and could not put my finger on the name of the phrase or the originating article. Every year or so I would go in and try to find it in my notes, email or via the search on HN. I'm so stoked this popped up in

When I was in college the iPad had just come out. I was determined to save money so I snagged an iPad to use as my omnitextbook and built a scanner based upon one of the schematics on this site with a friend. I would usually be the guy that
