Are you using only the previous word as the input for the chain? I wonder if it would be better to use something like the previous 2 words. I think that's how Mark V. Shaney managed to be so convincing.

Great! Are you using a markov chain for the suggestions? Is it a "dissociated press" kind of thing?

I know what GWT is. I agree that it provides out of the box certain functionalities that require a bit of "glue code" when using other frameworks. However, the whole "just write a desktop app and we will turn it into a web app" philosophy d

OK, I stand corrected. Still, that doesn't make it a good idea. Not to mention that most of those apps are Google products.

GWT? Seriously? I cannot think of any large, significant web app that has been written in GWT. I thought it would be clear by now that we do not need Java Enterprise in our web browsers. The web seems to be moving the other way - we have li

I don't mean to generalize, but this is my own experience. Sincerely, I don't know how the US manages to be the second most touristic country in the world. Travelling to the US can be a nightmare - customs, TSA, metal detectors, body scanne

I think a hybrid performance reviewing system would be the best: supervisors, supervised and peers. It is frustrating that managers do not get evaluated for their management capabilities - why not let those who they manage have a saying? Th

They're just telling your politicians that so that they put more money in training qualified workers and increase the supply. Then, qualified workers will be worth nothing. Genius, hm?

I think this is a consequence of the corporate mentality that prevails in Europe. We're still (or at least many of the big players) at the stage at which developers are seen as easily replaceable, as "mere code writers". People do not value

Great. I've always wanted to have a simple SMTP server that I could integrate in my projects/unit tests without having to re-invent the wheel. fakemail.py is too old and can't be installed from PyPI.

It doesn't cost me to believe that (if you are good and dedicate a lot of time to it) you can get to B1 or B2 in 4-5 months. C1 is a completely different story though. I work for an international organization and people around here are natu

I totally agree. 5 years living in France would be already very difficult, 5 months is just impossible. Unless OP has a special gift for languages, in which case the whole post about the method becomes irrelevant.

Can't they publish the source code for those as well? I'm sure many of the original developers of early games that are now abandonware still have a backup of the source code lying around.

I totally agree. i.e. plural should be handled by i18n libraries. Same thing for the thousands separator, different locales use different separators/styles.
