Most modern aircraft have GPS receivers built-in. They are actually constantly reporting this information to ground stations [1]. I'm not saying that things couldn't be better (and I'm no expert at all) but I doubt that any o

Sure. I find that I easily lose track of planes if they are below a certain altitude. Still, it is very strange that the last recorded altitude is 35000 ft [1]. [1]: http://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/mh370&

All modern aircraft are equipped with Mode-S transponders [1] which broadcast several parameters such as altitude, lat/longitude and aicraft ID info. There are also specific messages that signal "emergency status"[2]. You can

Every language has its quirks. Python is not perfect either. But JS shows clear signs of bad design decisions, such as the behavior of the == operator.

I don't personally hate Microsoft, but it's true that it is perhaps not the most popular tablet manufacturer in the world right now. I know many people who own an iPad, several others who have Android tablets, but zero Windows tab

Even though I agree that UPnP is a solution for a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place, I wonder how secure that kind of P2P communication will be. I guess people will still need/want residential firewalls and automatic

I asked myself the same question. At first I thought it was some kind of editor using the Stack Overflow Markdown flavor. It's really confusing.

The question is whether that person would suffer from that same problem anyway, due to some other cause. This is where statistical significance comes in.

+1 for 'More or Less'. I am a regular listener. As for the book, I believe the correct title is "The Norm Chronicles".
