The Chinese have been fighting this war for a while. The results are in favor of users: see Trojan-gfw, Xray-core, v2ray

Block stuff? Absolutely! Just don’t go monitoring communications and searches or else you end up with a surveillance state like China

I just got into university and they tell you to install a root certificate authority to connect to the network. Literally allows them to MITM HTTPS traffic without causing SSL warnings

    > In a sentence: because doing FOSS is just a way for some people to enhance their careers. Doubt It’s just that most people are on discord. I tried running a matrix space/room for support but people would keep asking if I could use

Having lived in China and now living in the UK, I really don’t see much difference between “The East” and “The West” in terms of freedom.

Without /:go:build tags, you can just define 1.21 as your Go version in go.mod to opt out of new features while getting other benefits of the new compiler

This is good advice. Grinding leetcode literally almost killed me. Got a high fever after trying to go through it blind (as in without knowing anything about it and the patterns) and somehow almost sleepwalked off the balcony (20th floor)

No. I have a quite a few but I’m 100% sure I don’t deserve anything. The gems are often hidden away in niche corners. There are niche repositories that bring a ton of value yet are rarely recognized because, well, they are niche. Stars usua
