The idea of synfuels, which is what this is, is not new. Many companies are pursuing this idea. Including Porsche: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/06/porsche-taking-stake-in-e-fu... There are two challenges to t

If you are just talking about hydrogen piping, the velocity of hydrogen flow is faster than natural gas. It becomes very similar in terms of flow rate for a given diameter of pipe.

Hydrogen will be the future of cars. It is the only one that is sustainable. EVs are themselves the result of massive government subsidies and legal mandates. It is very likely a failed product without those market distortions as very few p

That is utterly wrong. Hydrogen storage and piping would be vastly cheaper than thermal storage in huge heat banks. In particular, you would store the hydrogen underground. Very few proposals are suggesting otherwise. Piping hydrogen woul

It is the main path people have projected for seasonal energy storage. In fact, there are no other alternatives as far as we know. The "skeptics" have a very limited understanding of what they're talking about.

Acid3 test itself is pretty old though. There are now stuff that it doesn't cover. I think people should come up with an Acid4 test for that.

Methane is a potent greenhouse gas. It's possible that airliners aren't interested in a fuel that won't fully solve the problem.

I would prefer a new version of USB that guarantees total compatibility with all devices. It's very annoying to realize that your charging USB-C cable is not capable of 10Gbps, or that your 10Gbps cable cannot support 100W charging.

Tanks are turning into a weapon that can only be used in special cases. It's likely that drones will replace tanks as the most important attack weapon on the battlefield.

We will. The obsession with EVs won't last forever, especially given the finite supply of battery related metals.

You need close to 100% vaccination rates for vaccines to really work. Not so much for creating a makeshift army. This is an example of framing of the issue, and in this case it is deeply misleading. Nearly everyone wants what makes us safe.

I get the feeling you have that problem in reverse. All defensive gun use is very rare. Certainly, rarer than the opposite (offensive gun use). Combined with suicide risk and accidental deaths or injuries, it is rarely justifiable. Study on

Home invasion means forcefully breaking into someone's house where there are people in it. It's very different than a burglary. Burglaries are common, but the former is rare.
