Sorry for the misinformation, I obviously wasn't paying enough attention to those claims.

Did you miss the part where they included direct copies of the Designer News logo and several other of Layervault's illustrations?

I'd argue they still do, it's just a modal view with a different animation, thus it makes sense to follow those conventions. Also in the web app I tend to just click on the background to close a card.

The iOS convention is to put close / back buttons on the upper left, primarily since most apps have new screens enter from the right. I guess that trumped the precedent set on the web.

The risk their is that disputing charges may result in a ban causing the user to lose access to their other games on Origin.

Just want to chime in and say how fantastically ActiveModel::Serializers and the Ember.js REST adapter work together. I built a project with them over the weekend and the experience was overwhelmingly frictionless to a degree I hadn't exper

Surprisingly, I've found the UI on the Wii U to be generally pretty good, even great at times. There's a lot of consistency between different parts of the OS and the underlying concepts are all totally sound. It makes me wonder whether this

Yeah that was a fairly recent addition to the API, it probably didn't exist when you built the initial implementation of sign-in.

Also one more thing, 'There's no unintuitive buttons' seems like a weird statement to me. What's especially unintuitive about buttons?

Okay, a few thoughts on the design: - Hidden side menus are a great solution when you've got a lot of items to display, otherwise use a tab bar. I know sliding deck menus are stylish and all, but tab bars are always going to be faster to us

My solution in this case has been to disable subpixel antialiasing on only the elements that are being animated. It's a messy fix but it works without sacrificing smooth text everywhere else on the site.

I really want to start using icon fonts in my projects, the way they make it so easy to support HiDPI displays could save on a bunch of development time. My problem, however, is that the authors of these fonts seem to pay no mind to pixel-f

Command + Return probably isn't the best key combination for this. Most source code editors on OS X use that key combination to insert a new line below the current one regardless of cursor position.

Actually iOS 6 does introduce a set of new APIs for attributed strings that would make something like this a lot more performant and obviate the need to use web views. I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the driving factors in making
