I'm not sure what you are saying. Maybe the first proposal isn't the best one, so some exploration is warranted. Is Kent an unwilling pawn in the game of getting Rust implemented in the Linux kernel? Or is he not serious enough ab

Could PPA be used for the needs of developers doing analytics for determining which features are actually being used? For web-apps or for local apps? It seems it could be a more private way to implement such functionality, if applicable.

State diagrams are basically visual code, aren't they? And indeed they good for specifying, being the source of truth, but like code, they (afaik) don't really work for representing interactions with multiple actors (other than by

I hadn't seen that before, and it indeed does support S3, but does it also offer the clients the downloads directly from S3, or does it merely use it as its own storage backend (so basically work as a proxy when pulling)?

I mean you could extract an archive you've downloaded to your filesystem and said archive could have funky file names and then you use this tool.. But I suppose it's not a very likely bug to have in this kind of tool.

Why do you think it's probable? The much smaller llava that I can run in my consumer GPU can also do "OCR", yet I don't believe anyone has hidden any OCR engine inside llama.cpp.

Pretty cool, but I think I'll stick to using Matrix for the same purpose (in particular as I'm not an Apple user). But I admit a custom app would be nice, still using Matrix for storage.

Nice to see AMD finally doing something about competing in the compute market (LLM being the hottest thing at the moment)! Though apparently MI300X is a fine product as well. But it still needs code.

I was actually under the impression that PC motherboards have the spread spectrum clock available exactly for compliance reasons, and indeed it's the default as well. But you can turn it off. Maybe they do indeed test without it, and i

In practice the guy was planning to sell piece of software, on an SD card, that is compatible with a piece of hardware, and it's up to the customer to actually combine those two. The plan is exactly not to sell the hardware at all—gr

I think this would be part of echo cancellation: in a meeting you don't want the data from the meeting to be fed back to it. I suppose it uses the all the streams from the browser then, though I think in general it would be even better

I guess you could reformulate the intent of the problem as: Let P be an arbitrary program and let n be equal to 3 if P terminates, or 5 if not. Is it still malformed? Is so, then how about Let n be equal to 3 Goldbach's conjecture is t

Arguably we write instructions: instead of writing out the problem and what the solution looks like, we describe a set of steps we go through—and if those steps are incorrect, there's nothing to compare against, because that was what w

On the other hand, my understanding is that the transformations the TS compiler does to the code is just stripping annotations, so it's not unreasonable to call it an add-on.

There are some easier solutions for just S3, like Minio, which I imagine is likely much easier to setup than Ceph (though ceph is not that hard with cephadm).
