Pick randomly a list of top papers in ML, for example https://www.kdnuggets.com/2020/01/top-10-ai-ml-articles-to-k... . Most (if not all) all of them have no "positive" or "negative" tone, as fa

IMHO, a scientist capable of striking any tone in their work, positive or negative, is doing marketing / PR work rather than science. There's nothing wrong with that. Just like any other member of society, a scientist may want to

How is it that Zoom became so popular despite numerous large tech firms offering competing products?

The quality of comments in this thread is atrocious. I wonder what makes so many presumably technically trained people, to make confident claims about topics on which they very clearly have no bloody clue.

The article seems somewhat on the fluff-and-feathers side. It doesn't really explain anything. The only non-obvious thing it says is: > Robinhood receives a fixed rate per spread (vs. a fixed rate per share by the other eBrokers). R

There's no doubt that this is a politically motivated case. As many people pointed out, these are the same states that tried to overturn election results. There's no way this is a coincidence. After all, Google is a powerful anti-

Do I understand correctly that the 1-second delay existed in both AMP and non-AMP case? And later, someone found a way to remove the 1-second delay for AMP since it could be done without a negative UI impact (unlike for the non-AMP case)?

Oh I meant no one benefited from them releasing on old-gen consoles. I wonder if perhaps they were contractually not allowed to release only PC + next-gen consoles, and delay old-gen consoles?

Investors don't make money from sales. They just lost 30% of their investment. Literally no one benefited from this.

I'd think this was worse for the investors than not releasing in December and delaying until ~March? Stock price down over 30%.

Wasn't it obvious to anyone who play-tested on last-gen consoles that the game is nearly unplayable and so will receive horrendous reviews? Presumably CDPR employees are not afraid to convey such bad news to the management. So why did

Curious why you're downvoted. So people think the FTC is not independent? I wasn't sure about it myself, but with both Democrats voting in favor, this doesn't seem to be pushed through by Trump.

I wonder how Trump reconciles this with his promise to severely reduce regulation? If it was initiated by Congress, it would not be surprising: the GOP-controlled Senate is not nearly as anti-regulation as Trump. (And certainly the Democrac

Was this outcome that difficult to predict based on the hiring interviews, and based on prior articles and public statements? In other words, would this come as a surprise to a half decent hiring manager and hiring committee?
