Not necessarily since you pay for wireless connectivity. RX/TX doesn't matter. Recipient could be on a different network too. You want a text, you cover the costs. Banks still charge me on both ends for int'l wires. Now I per

Absolutely. I mean I remember 20y ago when someone's solution to spam was paying a small fee. Not what you want, but it's gotta be somewhere there. There has to be a cost to it, but it probably shouldn't be directly monetary.

Don't look at it as us vs them. Recruiters are part of your (future) team. Maybe not your direct team, but once you get bad people in your team you'll want them to do a better job.. Chicken vs egg. Apply where you actually want to

Coccinelle is French for lady bug. Cool tool. It's been around for what feels like forever but outside of the Kernel, people unfortunately still seem to prefer regex. I also met Julia when I did an exchange semester at diku, Copenhagen

My wife got a new laptop that came with a windows 11 pro license, so I let her pick. She wanted to try Windows after about 10y or being on Ubuntu. It's only been a few weeks, so time will tell her side but for me, the setup was a hassl

You're right but that's because it's already come to this. Would it have been that hard to say: these are the standardized fields usable only in accordance with the standards and these are the custom fields for your own bs.

Well said. For some reason I was expecting rust code... I guess my internal heuristics seems to associate fancy TUIs with colored output with rust.

IMHO, optimally there should be no force (regulation) necessary at all. It'd be much more beneficial if manufacturers saw the benefits because consumers choose according to the benefits they see. Sometimes we have to ask to make a need
