Standard text patches (diffs) are great because they work with all text files but for a specific representation like JSON you can do a lot better. In terms of code volume it's a lot lighter to find a node based on a json path than appl

I would love to see some (optional) checksumming or orignal value in the protocol and a little more flexibility in the root node for other metadata like format versioning etc. rather than just the array of patch ops in the root. ``` { &qu

Great break-down. Yes, the older you are, the safer it is. Speaking of Microsoft cooperation: I can totally see a whole series of windows 95 style popup dialogs asking you all those questions one by one in the next product iteration.

Why disable LVM for a smoother reboot experience? For encryption I get it since you need a key to mount, but all my setups have LVM or ZFS and I'd say my reboots are smooth enough.

Yes, SCD30 series are optical while SCD40 series are photoacoustic. STC series are thermal conductivity based. STC and SCD40 are smaller than SCD30 but less accurate if memory serves (check datasheet).

I have a strong view. But I won't let that keep me from enjoying a good technical discussion. Like stuxnet, this will strongly influence opsec in the coming decade.

I'm a bit sceptical of the choice of port 2222 as an alternative. At that point you might as well leave 22, but otherwise it's a good intro. If you're serious about starting post the sections into [insert AI service name] and

Would you trust Facebook to let anyone log-in based just based on your claims of owning an account? The supreme court just backed Arizona in reinstating voter-id proof. Clearly fraud is a concern on all sides - just ask the losing party (-

Not sure on what grounds nic.gov would then issue domains to disputed govts, coup d'états, ... But it wouldn't seem to hard for each govt to claim .gov.tld (.gov.us - would also be easier to pass down e.g. .az.gov.us) Fun fact, S

Good point. I wonder what happens if i rename a malicious file into google.com and push it into ever AD user's desktop at a large corporation. Might not even make a difference that MS hides extensions by default.

Colorado with 300 sunny days a year is a great place for motorcycles. Most of the year it's warm enough too with somewhat decent clothing and a pair of balls. I'll take the bike any day the road is dry and temps are double digit.
