Right but what were these required specs for the existing implementation?

I don't think it's surprising that a feature like web components would require new specs, isn't that how standard web features work?

Im not sure what you're referring to, they seem pretty straightforward to me. Create a class that extends HTMLElement, implement stuff in connectedCallback and attributeChangedCallback. Return a list of attributes in static observedAtt

People do it so it's definitely possible. Most people chose not to do it because it's a hard life with a horrible quality of life. Being a hunter-gatherer and living a nomadic life is not and was never easy or fun.

In many countries the only obstacle is the legality of living on government lands. In Canada there are people living a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle on crown land. The option is totally available for many people who chose not to do it.

You can still do this now, it's just called "being homeless" and it actually sucks.

Possibly tangential, but I've really been enjoying writing software with very minimal tech stacks with no dependencies (or very few). Go works well for this, but really any language that lets you create a file and just start writing st

I like Ousterhout's the best because I think it's the most concrete out of the three. The other two are more subjective imo, of course still very useful and important. Although I think "dependency" is an overloaded term.

It's fairly obvious when writing Go that `err` is being shadowed and needs to be checked after each expression. You should be wrapping them anyways!

Basically at any time they could turn it into an SPA, but tbf you don't need RSC for that.

I'm curious if Next has full support for Cloudflare or if this is the only way to run Next w/RSC off of Vercel.

Modern JS frameworks work in this same way. You just create a form and provide the action which corresponds to one you define in your route file. It even still works without client side JS!
