My overall grade was 'Outstanding', but I joined in Feb, so had a good -5 months before I was reviewed. Apparently it's difficult to get this where I work.

In other words, all you do in use the iPad as a thin-client. Which a Chromebook could do. Which your phone could do. Which any of those laptops from 2002 could do.

Completely agree. This is not entirely a software fault. Someone must have thought that it was ok and safe enough to rely on data from one sensor.

It uses Electron.. which is packaged Chromium. That's the hog.

That is from 2014. There have been many changes in the programming language since. Most people nowadays are using frameworks and abstraction layers which make most of these points moot.
