I see that, so I should be thinking of the use of the phrase "probabilistic programming" to be more analogous to "Nonlinear programming" than to "Functional programming".

I always feel like I'm missing something deeper when I hear / read about "Probabilistic Programming" - am I wrong in thinking that it's a well thought way of expressing Bayesian Models through the language of OOP?
