I have had three jobs so far, and I applied for none of them. It was just people reaching out to me via mail, or LinkedIn DM. I would be asked to take interview rounds. After those interview rounds, I would just receive the contract PDF via

Thanks for the original recommendations, and these two. I have heard about the Princeton Review books. I have not read them yet. Among your original recommendations, I have heard about "All the Maths you Missed". And I have read s

I have a Bachelor in Physics, and a Master’s in CS. I am not really looking for the basics. I am looking for advanced material that can be handled without the help of a teacher. The book should be written in that manner. As I have a good ba

Yeah, thanks for the recommendation. I already know the basics, and I want to learn more. I cam handle hard, but the textbooks need to be written in a manner that doesn't require the help of a teacher or a classroom.

I have read many parts of Cummings'es book, and I can vouch for its quality. It's the ideal book for learning proofs if you are self-learning.

What other resources would you recommended for learning Math that is a bit more advanced? It needs to be suitable for someone studying alone.

This looks good. And I have already covered these things. What are some other resources for learning more Math that are very approachable when studying alone?

I am talking about the initial anount only. I print too little for my personal needs, sometimes I print several papers going up to ~300 pages in (mostly) black and white. That too, once in 2-3 months. So, the consumable costs are too little

What models do you use to upscale images other than RealESRGAN?

I came to the comments just to ask this. I have used RealESRGAN for some years now, and several pictures hang on my house that were enlarged using this. I enlarged a lot of old pictures from family albums, and then fixed the bad spots with

Color lasers are much more expensive than color Inkjets. Much more. And many Inkjets are print+copy+scan. To get the same with laser ones, you will have to shell out 3x-4x.

Foundation is an embarrassment. It has nothing similar to Asimov's books. And focusing on the series only, forgetting the books, it's mediocre at best, and total cringe at worst. Didn't feel original or new. The storyline i

I never really cared for SciFi before I read Neal Stephenson. I read Cryptonomicon (among my all-time top-5) and Diamond Age and I was hooked. Then I read 3BP, and I really really loved it. Historical plots, present day, big ideas, imaginit

What are "browser choice screens"? When you click on a link from, say, a text message, you are shown the icons of the installed browsers, tapping upon one of which- the link opens on that one. Is that it? Or is it something else?

Even the free ChatGPT-3.5 beats paid GitHub Copilot in code quality and problem solving. I used Copilot for a while, and it's no more than very smart autofill and good at generating boilerplate. ChatGPT actually solves (some, minor) pr
