Yes, I've had that one too. I have a Logitech keyboard case, but if I'm not writing long-form, I find it more comfortable to have the "bare" iPad, and tap out any shorter text. Unless I specifically disconnect the keyboa

Absolutely. From experience, the global Oil & Gas industry is completely reliant on Excel, and that will not change any time soon. They use it for nearly everything ... It's the common UI to bigger, complex systems, and it's

Sounds like the US lags behind on this, but I'm sure the tradeoffs are made up elsewhere - for example, it looks to me like salaries for equivalent roles in IT are often a little higher in the US. At my current (UK) employer, I get 30

As a Brit interviewing to work remote for a SV company (as a contractor, due to residence) IR35 is something I really need to wrap my head around. At first glance, it's a bit scary.

I use Newsstand for one magazine[0], purely because the digital version of the magazine is so well done I subscribed on the spot after reading the first digital issue, and renewed again last month. It's not just as good as the paper co

I've used a Steelseries 7G for the last ~3 years. It's built like a tank, compared to the Razer keyboards I tried in-store before buying it. It doesn't have many fancy bells-and-whistles, but it's far and away the best k

Is there a way you can continue without VC? It sounds like you're compromising yourself/business and don't really want to. To continue your marriage analogy: don't do it if your heart isn't in it. The inevitable mis

You've come a long way, baby. I remember when WordPress first appeared. I'd deployed the b2 blogging engine a couple of times before, and anything which made b2 easier to install/use/adapt was welcome. Amongst the (many) blog systems I'd tr

I wrote something pretty similar almost 8 years ago[0], and for the most part I've found the advice holds up. My current job is a lot more flexible for remote working than any other I've had before. I don't work remotely all of the time, bu
