The Spectacle is not a collection of images, but a social relation among people, mediated by images.

wouldn’t turning down divisiveness require picking a unified POV? What if the unified POV is not the one she wants, would she still support it? People seemed pretty upset that FB was used to unify a majority for Trump, I mean that’s when al

It’s not even realpolitik. Talent is talent, if 90% of the market isn’t competing it provides financial edge for those willing to break the cartel. The chances of it working are near zero because there’s always some asshole capitalist like

Yup, and with an R value for delta between 5 and 8 on a two week infection cycle... well thats about 3 days... even with 100% of people vaccinated it will buy about a month, assuming the vaccine numbers hold and 1/35th of the vaxxed vs

I misspoke, it was deaths, not hospitalizations. Norway has 1/10th the deaths per capita of Sweden. Canada has 1/2 of what Sweden has, and we are still have mandates and restrictions.

Precisely. Also congrats on having sane politicians. Sweden has 10x the hospitalization rates of many countries that still have mandates, thus it is a political question, not a medical one.

Because it helps reduce capacity which increases the political will for mandates.

Norway, Sweden, and the UK no longer have mandates, it's a political question not a medical question.

Yup a few fields gets you a long way, though I would recommend an audit log updated by triggers, rather than audit fields. For example on my CRUD rails app, we use audit triggers in combination with setting a postgres local config variable

Here's the key, all the systems in which event sourcing works have clear immutable definitions of what an event does / means. eg. Git ALWAYS applies a commit in a consistent way (and where it doesn't it's a disaster) eg.

Event sourced systems are actually great, as long as they aren’t branded as such. Most of the time it’s totally stupid and the state of the system isn’t reproducible anyway unless the event code is never modified.

And then you realize that the CRUD db you moved away from operates on event sourcing (WAL) anyway. And thus you’re just doing inner platform effect.

Yup, My experience has been usually needing to give QA a list of strings with SQL / script injection. As well as Unicode strings with characters outside the BMP tho emojis now usually cover that case.

We can gain the knowledge of how to fix it in the future and take action against entities that aren’t taking those precautions as well as creating the political will to do so. This is similar to how after the titanic we identified why it sa

In BC where I live we have 85% of people vaccinated. We are back in lockdown with mask mandates and vaccine passports. They are still going on about the unvaccinated, there’s no such thing as herd immunity in the politics of COVID lockdowns

Why apologize for greatness, the entire ethos of America is that it’s the best place for the individual. That other countries choose to impoverish and restrict rights is nothing that require apology.
