Time based estimations are always wrong. Complexity based estimations are so abstract as to be useless. I honestly haven't found a good way of estimating, in my many years of working in software teams. The best seems to be: set a reaso

Well done, and thanks for Serverless Stack! Awesome tutorial! I completed it and it was excellent, and a lot of fun. The only thing I would say is that a section on public user uploads would be amazing (e.g. avatars) as the perms and CDK st

On a practical level, the author had awful blisters and heel pain because she was wearing trainers on a thru-hike?! Get some proper hiking boots!

This is a fair post and fair enough for striving for simplicity. On the TypeScript thing, if you're already using Parcel it can do all the TypeScript stuff for you with nothing extra required!

Apart from the obvious bias having been written by a co-founder of a product studio, there are plenty of examples of product studios not working out. It's also a hugely saturated market now. Success stories (e.g. UsTwo) are very rare.

Comparing SAM and Terraform is like comparing apples and oranges. Comparing Terraform to CloudFormation is more appropriate, and Terraform wins in terms of verbosity there every time. SAM generates CloudFormation templates/stacks, whic
