Yeah, you'd have to install LUKS or eCryptfs or something, but I think it would be worth a try. I expect Windows would only see the encrypted files then.

I think this talk [1] mentions that alcohol is metabolised into fat in the liver, from where it diffuses out in tiny droplets and ultimately settles down as visceral fat. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM

Wouldn't simply activating file-level encryption in the Linux subsystem be enough to throw off Windows-based AV scanners?

I regularly wonder what definition of "friend" some people operate with. If I found myself in a losing position, I'd do my best to keep my friends out of it, not to drag them in.

Somewhat, yes, but arguably no more so than any other programming language.

So, the CDC recommends one thing, the WHO something different. Where does the appeal to authority leave you at now? In the end, you'll have to make up your own mind.

I'm on Linux and I only get the Apple download button (on FF, and I have not messed with the browser ID string).

Hi, in an unrelated nitpick: The relative error should be calculated by dividing the error by the true value, not by it's approximation. Still, very nice writeup!

FWIW I side with the "perpetual" (or one of various approximate synonyms) faction that cites the Syriac translation from Aramic. I think that, firstly, it makes sense to see "always-being" as a kind of superlative of mer

Exactly, and it's not even been this way for very long. There's a favourite anecdote where I come from about an old woman tending a rather isolated farm who was quite surprised when the police showed up in force and demanded to kn

I'm giving up, you just keep conflating the social and the political this is getting tiring! And no, you don't need politics to draw up contracts or have money or a legal framework, that's a thoroughly confused point of view.
