Sorry should've elaborated. I know there are UWB RFID tags in NFL player shoulder pads. I was also under the impression that the ball itself is tracked. Is this not the case? I imagine a football is easier to sneak sensors into than

I believe NFL already heavily uses UWB sensors for analytics as well. Could someone describe how this is different? Is it just extending to the rules and semantics of cricket?

Interesting. I still see Canadian airports starting with Z. But Y is heavily Canadian. We should all just start our own airport. Sounds like a good way to learn about naming. I imagine we will want an airport code staring with YC, so it

Just to clarify, as others have pointed out, the leadership principles at Amazon are in no way a new experiment. I don't know their origins but I wouldn't be surprised to learn they are nearly as old as the company itself (probabl

I think technically Canada is stuck with the "C" prefix (vs. "K" for USA) eg. CYVR, CYUL, CYXX We also have airports with "CZ" (eg. CZBB). I am not sure what the difference (if any) between CZ vs. CY codes is.

Just to elaborate On the priority bit. Page count during on-call rotations is probably a huge metric to watch.

There was a short story / satire article posted about this in the past. The author automated dating with open table APIs, tinder and facial recognition, uber for ride home, etc. Does anyone remember this / have a link? My Google

I am in agreement. Especially considering they put up a front and try to show visitors a fake / happy version of the country. People often boycott and don't like visiting circuses or shows that generally abuse and exploit animals

An alternative would be to just use AWS lambda: > You can create a Lambda function and direct AWS Lambda to execute it on a regular schedule. You can specify a fixed rate (for example, execute a Lambda function every hour or 15 minutes),

Good call out. I just want to add that the issue is exacerbated on a mobile phone. iPhone 6, portrait mode, the "S" and "preadsheet" are even on different lines! The linewrap goes away when I rotate to landscape mode.

This is a good point. IANAL, but I imagine there definitely are routes to take when drafting various legal documents (e.g. employment contracts) that would allow employees to pursue personal projects. Its likely just easier (and as you sa

My takeaway from the post was it isn't so much that he thinks it's fair but a legal necessity to protect the company. More of a criticism towards how current IP law is structured.

Could you clarify why you cite 20,000ft as the transition altitude? I've always been under the impression it is FL180. From your wiki link: > In the United States and Canada, the transition altitude is 18,000 ft.

I believe warning of wake turbulence is very common after take off of any large and heavy aircraft. Wingtip vorticies can sit over a runway (or even drift over to parallel runways) for minutes after a takeoff. They are very dangerous to sma

Great explanation! I think it's also interesting to point out this is also the explanation for the trend of adding winglets to the tip of the wings. They help reduce the wingtip vorticies, and in turn, reduce parasitic drag and improve

Thank you! I'm probably heavily influenced by the fact that I live in one of these places (where helmets are a legal requirement). All I could think while reading this is "yes, you definitely should always wear a helmet!!"

To be fair, unless I misunderstood, the symetric key is only used when you save your master password (so you don't have to re-type it) and use a PIN instead. I believe LastPass app encourages you to NOT do this. This obviously doesn&#x

I don't want to assume on spaceboy's behalf, but I think all you need is to remember a master password to some sort of (online) password manager. From there you could use cloud services (eg. Dropbox) to access such documents. Secu

As a software engineer I (quite cynically) have viewed patents as a way to protect IP and force people to pay you for using your solution. Do people frequently use the patent system (either for software or product design) as a catalogue of
