This article didn't seem to have anything to do with actually switching to Git; it was just a list of SVN commands without the Git equivilant. It did mention one difference thats worth mentioning: Since git doesn't keep empty directories,

The Games are supposed to be a symbol of international spirit. How could America even hope to win them? You can't claim to be "exceptional" and above the rest of the community, then ask that same community for support. It would have been

iMacs use laptop ram. Getting 8GB DDR3 ram for laptops is expensive, even from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE... . $900 from Apple isn't nearly as bad of a markup as you might imagine. side note: I wou

I would recommend downloading the .key (Keynote) file from Slideshare and viewing it on your own, if possible. The slide notes are useful, more of the presenter's ideas shared (via http://twitter.com/importantshock/status/4430454006 ). I i

The problem is, it can be very hard to fit in a button that is used once and rarely again in applications that don't have settings. Or, for that matter, it can sometimes be hard to fit in a button for a commonly used/requested feature.

Although I already use Quicksilver, this article does absolutely nothing to convince me I should use Quicksilver instead of Spotlight. The one benefit it mentions — quicker access to applications — is something that Spotlight does very well

I've used Google docs once, a few months ago. And that one time, everyone was stepping on everyone else's edit. The end result was making it read only for everyone except one or two people to edit. Personally, I'm not ignoring it. I'm inten

...that doesn't change the fact that their app operates in a grey area of copyright infringement. Like I mentioned earlier: I'm not as informed in copyright law as I would like. Would you mind pointing out to me where this is a grey area?

Think about Instapaper's use case: Offline or slow connection. On iPhones or iPod touches. There's no point in having a social network button when you can't reach Digg or Reddit to submit or to vote. There's no point in having a blank space

If thats what you think Instapaper is, you've completely missed the point of it. Instapaper saves articles so you can read them later, offline. You know, without having to wait for a large site to load over 3G (or worse, EDGE. Or the lack o

If you think ObjC is verbose, take a look at this example of MonoTouch: http://img.skitch.com/20090914-cuu9mkrnjg864k88ywijur5ebk.jp... The equivalent ObjC code is: IBOutlet UIWindow *window; IBOutlet UILabel *label; Also, your e
