I wonder how irritating it would be to actually use that bottle to drink out of. One of the reasons that I tend to avoid Fiji water is because of the shape of the bottle (although, the environmental impact of the bottle and high price per

Pages.app (for Mac, at least) can usually display most .doc(x) files properly. The only issue that I've run into is when a professor uses a font that doesn't come with a Mac. And, in that case, Pages defaults to Lucida Grande, rather then C

You need to be near a WiFi access point... Correct me if I'm wrong – although I don't think I am - but, isn't the point of wifi that you don't need to stay tethered to a router? And the iPad supports 802.11n, so you'll be able to get a

Brent Simmons (makes NetNewsWire for Mac and iPhone) made a very good post on this topic (well, charging for features, not related to open source specifically) awhile back: http://inessential.com/2009/07/16/dont_offer_50_for_your_fav... .

Literal, fanboyish answer: "Buy a Mac Pro or Mac Mini and stick it under the table and use whatever monitor/keyboard/mouse you want." Practical, not-as-fanboyish answer: I'm guessing that your aesthetic taste varies from mine (since I like

Ack. Didn't mean to downvote you, sorry. And agreed, if you want a Mac, just buy one. Refurb or second hand, if there's too much of a sticker shock.

There's an entire site dedicated to this sort of thing, thats slightly more organized than a big list: http://www.cocoadev.com/ . Its Mac-centric, but it covers the Foundation framework, so its worth knowing about, even if you only do iPho

The entire Russian army was fought to a stand-still in Afghanistan and later also in Chechnya by much smaller, less well equipment forces using modern insurgent techniques. (In my admittedly limited knowledge,) I don't know if Afghanistan

Looking at AppWhirl, it is slightly more then a glorified RSS reader. You can make a template (choose text and background colors as well as the background image) for your site and throw in tweets as well. No, its nothing complicated. Yes,

I just said something true. You "rebutted" it with something totally wrong, somehow assuming that I was wrong. Why would you even do that? Because I don't believe that what you said is true. I don't see how It has been all over the news

Apple's been removing apps that use private API's. Or apps that they deem "inappropriate". So, unless you make an app with the feed of $somePornSiteYouLike, I don't see either of those issues popping up from this. Although, if all your app

My (uneducated about security) guess is that it is because most bugs are in code written in a language by a programmer, not runtime bugs or bugs in the language itself. And that when it comes to languages, how easy it is to shoot yourself i

That might be the case at $.99. But if you go up a bit (even to $1.99 or $2.99), the amount of bad reviews like that decreases pretty quickly.

Sure, and this is a great thing. However, as my reply quoted, it was in response to "lacked any sort of violence." 1000+ dead and many more injured is a poor definition of "any sort of violence." And I admitted that I was wrong, right awa

And something more recent to show that the trend has continued? Romania has elections every 4 years, I believe. That paper was published after one round of elections. There's been a few rounds since.

To me, its showing off how well you know a specific tool (or how quickly you could learn it), rather then a specific market. Nothing wrong with a bit of ego or wanting to show off something that you made.
