In that case you can use either rag or fine-tuning. The entire premise of the Tiananmen Square argument is just Americans feeling inferior. I use Chinese models every day for work and my personal life, the model not knowing about this one h

Most organizations aren't going to need the wide breadth of capabilities of the frontier models. They're risk averse and LLMs are non-deterministic, so use cases are typically more tightly scoped to tasks that involve nuanced clas

LM Studio is equally as simple, has all the same features, and none of the performance or lock-in problems of ollama. If you only needed a single reason, how about kneecapping your performance by choosing ollama?

That entirely ignores and excuses the chain of decisions that lead to this problem. Removing it from the codebase today does nothing to dissuade them from doing something similar tomorrow

You don't have a window manager hosting the terminal window on your host OS? That's the argument being made here, you're already in some kind of tiling or windowed environment, why replicate all of that on the remote?

There's plenty of valuable use cases for being able to give natural language instructions to a tool and have it act on that input. I do however agree that the current hype and valuations far exceed the real value being offered. Like wi

The statement was that China was giving up on open weights, they didn't say anything about licensing. Licensing on these models has always been hit or miss depending on which lab and which release.
