Apple is one of the companies that helped design USB-C and have been using it for everything except iPhones and AirPods for years now.

It’s amusing that you’re getting downvoted when that was the entire point of forcing Apple to standardize on USB-C like the rest of the electronics industry.

I mean, the entire reason the Asahi team are able to do what they do is because Apple isn’t stopping them at all (in the context of laptops/Mac Minis at least). It’s just that they’re not doing anything to help them except for mainta

I know Cruelty Squad was made in Godot, but I’m not sure it’s quite the best game to showcase general 3D FPS viability ;)

Yeah, 2,000 sold (~50,000 over the last year) out of ~3,200,000 still held, under a trading plan filed in May.

I wonder if the base A16 simply doesn’t support USB 3 and they weren’t motivated to change that - the 14 Pro/Max last year was still limited to USB 2 after all.

I imagine most people - especially those not using the Pro models - only care about universal charging. I think I’ve connected my iPhone to my PC for data transfer maybe two or three times since I switched ~six years ago, and even on Androi

I remember reading about the provider Griddy that did exactly that - gave customers the wholesale rate for power. Then the 2021 winter storms hit with the price peaking at the limit of $9 per kWh ...

Haven’t read the release, but I imagine they’re referring to each component (i.e. iCloud, Music) as a separate subscription even if subbed to by the same user bundles notwithstanding.

A bunch of places in the US have added additional percentage fees in lieu of raising their marked prices (someone in another thread mentioned an “employee wellness fee”, for instance).

The easiest thing to do would be to just try it as long as your distro packages or otherwise manages the nvidia driver (which PopOS does). I don’t use desktop Linux anymore, but when I had a 2060 I dual-booted it with Arch (btw) and it work

As noted in the post, Nitro users do get enhanced functionality for things like file upload sizes and streaming quality; I imagine that more intrusive better functionality than that would cause a much higher uproar than avatars or emoji, an
