I thought GrapheneOS specifically drops support for devices once Google does - they even mention on their FAQ* that the Pixel 4/XL is only still getting releases as a stopgap for users until they can go buy a newer device.

- jacooper 4y agoThough they will still be realesing new Android versions, even if the device is on extended security support. that matters with the Pixel 6 and 7 series that have such a long security support cycle, but a rather short feature support cycle.
