Don't miss the comments. Particularly Tor Hovland's hint about the size of k, and David Turner's "spoiler." The Wikipedia article [1] demystify's it completely. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

Agree that there's not enough info in the article, but the fact that he got jail time is a pretty significant bit of information. You suggest comparing the incident to losing control of a bicycle or skateboard, but those aren't po

Google works surprisingly well with languages other than English. I've been looking for Russian-language originals of some of Chekhov's short stories and plays, and pasting, e.g., "Чехов чайка"into the search bar finds t

The article shies away from the fascinating question it hints: given the improbability of 92 consecutive tosses landing on heads, what are the odds that something else is at work here? (un-, sub- or super-natural forces, as they put it in t

I'd agree that, in general, you shouldn't necessarily aim for the same level of polish in feedback that you would in a piece for publication. Here, though, I think the excessive length of his comment undermines the credibility of

It's like a squabble between children. Applicant with an over-inflated ego submits a sub-par writing sample. Owner with an over-inflated ego rejects it with a gratuitous insult on top of some helpful criticism. Applicant throws a fit.

Seconding Save the Cat, my favorite book on Screenwriting (and I've read most of them). Terry Rossio's columns at Wordplayer[1] are also fantastic. Rossio is half the team that wrote Zorro, Shrek and Pirates of the Carribean. [1]

The real answer is to get rid of street parking when you have a bike lane. They're incompatible. In fact, just get rid of street parking altogether. As a bicyclist, I've been doored. As a pedestrian, I find it difficult to see aro
