If you visit from an iOS device, you get redirected to this page: http://thetoshibatablet.com/mobile/apple.html Wouldn't it make more sense to advertise the device and list its features to a potential convert (I am visiting the site to ch

There are quite a few false positives on that list. Also titling sites with nocrawl as spam is pretty lame. dshield.org is listed as mfa, but there isn't an adsense ad on it.

People (here at HN) seem to be relating not needing a college degree to not needing a computer science degree. There is a huge difference though with degrees for pre-med (biology, bio-chem, etc.), electrical engineering, civil engineering,

You should have filed assault charges on the bitch. She doesn't need help from a sexist pig, yet she slaps you across the face because it's okay for a woman to slap a man.

Since you say you are a novice, I'd recommend Head First Design Patterns: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0596007124 Do not jump in with the GoF Design Pattern book. :)

The third comment of the blog is interesting. Does anyone have any insight as to whether using Dropbox to sync iTunes works well? At a glance, it seems a better solution than home sharing.

Mike, you might try using GoodReader on the iPad to view the PDF. It uses a different PDF rendering engine than iBooks. I believe it is a bit better with larger PDFs, but really with PDFs like the Google PDFs which are basically a collecti

I mistyped my userid when logging into my bank today so the first thing I did was to write a blog post about how the bank had been compromised and everyone's accounts had been hijacked.

Would never happen. The genius bar/phone support would be full of people with who have a virus, malware, spyware, etc. That would cost Apple too much to deal with a product that isn't theirs. See: Getting rid of Java and Flash.

None of those are "killer apps" in the classical definition of the phrase. Those are apps that are awesome to you, but not killer apps. People use killer app now to mean any good app, kind of how every model today is a super model if you kn

Of course, that's an edge case. That's not a critical mass app. You aren't going to go to the mall and hear a someone talking about swype for android.
