TLS is cool for stopping your ISP from MiTMing your traffic (usually to insert shitty banner ads or something). Otherwise I find it a scourge, particularly when I want to run https over a private network, but browsers have a shitfit because

I wonder then is there a side benefit in "forcing" these kids to take long positions on big stocks that are locked in until at least 2044.

In fact I cant disagree with most of what you've said, except to say that I was thinking from the state perspective, rather than the cannon-fodder. Conscription has never been popular, and I think today in healthy industrialised nation

Cool. After using Nix for a while I got pretty fed up with the (subjective) unintuitiveness of the language†. It wasn't even that I thought it was a bad language, I just couldn't het it to click (and doubly so after the advent of

In principle any model can do these. Tool use is just detecting something like "I should run a db query for pattern X" and structured output is even easier, just reject output tokens that don't match the grammar. The only que

The way I rationalize it is that you're getting the address of something. A raw address isn't what you want the address of, so you're doing something like &(*(rdi+rsi)).

Are you proposing a "World Sue A Tech Giant Day"? A global bonanza of micro-litigation that bleeds AI-leviathans dry by a thousand cuts? I'm in, but let's have it in October or something when I'm less busy.

I don't think you need to simulate this, the number of "deep work" slots should be (λD+1)(1-d)^(λD) where d=(Δ+θ)/D and D is the length of your workday. I also invoke the Knuth Defence ("I have only proved it correc
