The ”nonviolent” part is interesting. We as a society has many examples of holding such people responsible for ”legal” and ”non-violent” actions that clearly resulted in deaths of lots of people. Sorry about the rather extreme example and i

When I read the article the problem as illustrated was not primarily OnlyFans and the morality around that kind of content. It was the lack of funding for athletes and the fact that IOC forces athletes to sign away image rights that were fr

The European Commission has a section in the Q&A about that[1] where they say that the charger side of things will be regulated in the Ecodesign Regulation. Ecodesign will regulate things like power delivery, which includes charger and

The GDPR was proposed and discussed in 2014, it was voted on in 2016, and went into effect in 2018. As 2025 is at the door, what excuses are there really to use a non-compliant tech stack when handling personal data?

This is a solved problem as far as I am concerned. We have automated systems to deal with requests in that category, it would probably have to be in the double-digit percentage of our customer base before we see any significant impact on ou

Only marking as “deleted” while indefinitely keeping it is illegal in the EU/EEA. The GDPR _requires_ a hard deletion in cases like this, but allows a grace period of a few weeks for the deletion to propagate throughout systems.

I think they are suggesting using something like this, which does work to target certain attributes: input[value="5"] { width: 20%; } This could then be combined with the sibling selector to target the other one input[value=&quo

This is cool! I have always thought that the HTML <input type=range> input needed a dual-value implementation because that makes a lot of sense. Consider the use case "I want to filter products with at least X widgets but no more

True that, and in isolation that is indeed the case. Yet, even more people than that across the world cannot even do that. What I am (partly rhetorically) asking is: Is it really a workable long-term solution to guard this global land ownin
