iPhones are bigger and have more power: the chip in the Apple Watch might be different. It's just an hypothesis.

I would not be entirely surprised if Apple sees smartwatches has having the potential to kill smartphones down the road. Siri will need a lot of improvements, but in 3 to 5 years I think we will be at a place where people start to switch.

It might be a technological issue: standards (GSM, CDMA) and allowed frequencies vary a lot from country to country. The chip in this Apple Watch might be too specific? If it's a purely contractual issue, it should be gone soon (for a

Mercedes has a lot of help in this fight: the writing is not on the wall, it's in the law. That should be quite helpful in convincing employees to not only not fight the change, but to push for the change. At some point survival instin

The A340-600 has four engines, not six. But the point is still true with, say, a Boeing 787. Here are the figures for the 787-9: maximum takeoff weight: 560,000 lb; maximum landing weight: 425,000 lb [1]. In case of an emergency the pilot h

It depends a lot on what you are learning. I think playing DreamBox significantly helped my daughter (1st grade) learn how to count. Simply because she likes playing with it so she got a lot of practice for no effort. The key is there: no e

You can very easily buy a MacBook with a "normal" US keyboard, even in France. Personally I gave up the french layout several years ago. It took me maybe one week to get comfortable with the US-International input to type accents

I do care about that extra 1mm, when it comes to a latptop. I think most people who buy a laptop to use it on the go care about that. To be entirely fair I care more about the weight reduction than the 1mm. For instance the new MacBook Pro

I might be wrong by I think you missed maybe the most important keyword: backup. You can't fix a missing/corrupted backup, at this point it's too late. So you need to get it right. It's not like, say, configuring nginx.

Erlang doesn't compile to machine code, but to bytecode that runs into the Erlang VM. So you would probably have to run the Erlang VM on top of javascript... I'm not sure whether it's possible, but it sure sounds heavy.
