Wow, I noticed that it even has Tobii Eye Tracking. That's extremely exciting imo. It would allow me to code fully hands-free with something like Serenade/Talon, and just use the eye tracking to move the mouse. Can the headset be

That's what a manager should do, yes. But I think a lot of developers have had managers that don't do those things at all. And I think that's where the resentment of managers come from.

Isn't Flutter supposed to be the default GUI framework for Fuchsia? In that case the native GUI framework would be non-native.

I switched from Firefox on Android to Brave. Not because I like Brave, but because I disliked the new UI in Firefox. Brave also had much better performance for JavaScript and CSS animations.

I think it's WASM, but the title says it's native. Maybe the word "native" has various meanings here. When I first read the title I was under the impression that it wasn't WASM.

They are very overpriced in the country I live in at least. Here's the price for a Mac Mini M1 with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. US: $1,299. My country: $1840.

I've been wishing for that for so long. The current state of nested code is so ugly in my opinion.

I haven't used it that much, but from my experience it was incredibly difficult/verbose to create any custom designs, compared to HTML/CSS. It put me off so much that I just picked another language to develop my applications

I don't believe it either. I work for a company that has hundreds of remote employees right now and it's been going really well for the past 1.5 years now.

1. A lot of companies are shitty in a lot of ways. Your only option is to quit is you don't like them, and if you can't change them. There's plenty of companies that don't surveil their employees. I don't see it as

1. There is no need for an employer to surveil you if you do your job. The results will speak for themselves. If your employer can't trust their own employees, and wants to surveil them at home, try finding a better employer, because t

As a frontend dev I would probably stick to the original design if presented with the new one. The new one is inconsistent and looks slightly outdated. Not saying that the original design is perfect though, or that the new one is crap. On t

Yes, that's absolutely true. At the same time I've had some really strong friendships online. It's easier to find people who you really click with.

Nice. I understand what you're trying to say with that title on your website, but I kind of disagree. Just because you have online friends doesn't mean that they're not "real" friends.

I think it depends on your country. I got a 20% discount, which appears to offset the VAT I have to pay. > You'll be charged US$62.01, including US$12.40 for VAT in <my country>.

I'm not the one you responded to, and I haven't used Rust much myself, but one of the issues I've seen raised several times is that its async ecosystem is fractured. You have to select an async stack, and sometimes different
