Yeah, I still like doing "weird" things wrt music and experiencing art, but I am not posting about it anywhere or paying much for it. Most of the really interesting things I've been to in the last 5 years or so have been very

My big gripe with spreadsheets is just that there's a lot of bloat on top of the spreadsheet which makes large datasets difficult to work with. Otherwise, I find them to be great deliverables.

I'm not surprised. Was part of an acquisition by a large F100 company. There were some "interesting" accounting calculations that we discovered 2 years after.

I agree with you that voice messages can die in a fire. Send a text, or call. I do not want to listen to a voice message.

I've been thinking about "accountability sinks" a lot lately and how LLMs further the issue. I have never heard of this book or author prior to this comment. I'll definitely have to read it!

It's highly task specific. I've been refactoring a ton of my Pandas code into Polars and using ChatGPT on the side as a documentation search and debugging tool. It keeps hallucinating things about the docs, methods, and args for m

I would disagree. It's been shown recently how over-use of AI impacts cognition; "use it or lose it" mostly. I immediately ignore any "I asked ChatGPT..." comments because I do not know the prompt used, if the claim

>But that's my 2 cents. Or is it really ChatGPTs 2 cents? Copy-pasting LLM responses is as useful as posting a "let me google that for you" link. It's a lazy response at a minimum.

It does make a difference. The big rock ice is great for whiskey and scotch the reason you mentioned; keeps it cold with minimal dilution. Crushed ice is great when you want dilution, like in a mint julep. It really depends on the style of

Gaming in Linux is massively easier nowadays due to Proton. I haven't ran into an issue yet playing any of my games. One caveat to that is most of the large online competitive multiplayer games (CoD, Fortnite, etc.) won't work due

I primarily use it this way or as a rubber duck. I pretty much use it as a replacement for going on a Google adventure. When I use it for code, it's mostly as a glorified auto-complete or write some boilerplate I can't be bothered

The copilot integrations look sweet, as does the schema view. The MSSQL extension doesn't have those, but the rest of it looks similar to the Postgres one.

I approach it the same way. My tattoos don't "mean" anything, and honestly I find the ones that have "meaning" to not be that great. My tattoos do remind me of where I was in my life. I also stick to American tradit

The success of this game is amazing. You have AAA developers dropping close to 500M on development and taking a decade just to release a game that isn't fun and doesn't sell well. Balatro shows it's not money that makes a gre
