For me the checklist would be: 1. Sleep quality 2. Nutrition quality 3. Exercise 4. Lifestyle First make sure that all the above is in check.

At some point the search filed stooped searching. It is something like: * Here is the most popular results that are slightly relevant to your query. E.g. African war lord will pull up a gamer playing pranks on other gamers. * Then, we give

You make an interesting point but the same problem is now on the hands of the political regime(hopefully a wide segment of society) to decide the value of things.

What about taking the ore to sea level and doing the process there. It's downhill. This is the greatest flaw in markets. It's said that markets compute the right values for trade goods. But it should be qualified to: Value now (or

I found reading books, like novels, helps to build the necessary skills to chain complex ideas together in "real time".

This seems like the more ethical approach with regards to giving credit to the original author. I've seen projects (on GitHub, won't call them out) get bad reputation when the maintainer implements code previously submitted as a P

I'm no historian, but I really enjoy this podcast. I feel a bit of guilt knowing that a whole civilization had to fall to produce each of these episodes. This is really expensive to produce!

DRM doesn't work in games, go to a torrent site to see all the failed attempts. 1. It costs money 2. It makes the product worse(slower, less portable,etc...) for your _ paying _ customers. 3. It doesn't work if the g

I don't think that's the best way to use Optional in java. In particular the use of isPresent & get kind of defeats the purpose. Should be something along the lines : ... sum = 0 opt = getOptional(n) sum = sum +

One of The Osterholm update's video (a podcast) was censored for spreading "misinformation". I hope they can survive this.

M4 syntax looks that way because it has to work for arbitrary text files. Quotes can be redefined to an arbitrary string changequote(`[[[', `]]]') And some editor give you syntax highlighting.

1. Paying customers get worse experience than pirates. 2. Your software lifespan is reduced. (Worst if you use 3rd party DRM). 3. The company pay for something that 99% of the time doesn't work. So I see the intent, but not the logic

I believe I understand your point, but there these options (as I see things): 1. There is little correlation, but there is actual causation (e.g: a cricle) 2. There is correlation, but it turns out to be a fluke later during validation. So,

When someone mentions correlation, they imply a linear relation between the correlated variables and a range of values for which that relation is valid. Only when that model is further validated correlation suggests causation.

I agree with the sentiment. For a project of this magnitude maybe it comes to develop some kind of static analysis along with refactoring the code to make the former possible. As per the attack surface described in the paper (section IV). B

I know a community that held the event after being rejected to ensure that the "processes" where still in place for the future. They are now on the list again (haskell). I think GNU should do something similar. Ask HN: what are so

True. But I believe this is a case where correctness and clarity are the paramount concerns. There should be a public reference implantation of these methods if they are going to be used in court.

Thia avoids collisions as long as the process takes less than one unit of time to complete. If not, processes that take more than one unit will overlap eventually[0] [0] Advent of code 2020, day 13. https://adventofcode.com/

This is the real solution to these kind of problems. It is OK to honor the people who first worked on a problem like the Gaussian Distribution, Hessian, etc... But nowadays, with so many people working on science and so many records, it tim
