The first I ever saw of it was the NYT story about the deadly avalanche at Stevens Pass in WA state. I liked it for that story but not so much for this product site. https://www.nytimes.com/projects/2012/snow-fall&

The Redmond City Council made a recommendation to turn off the cameras on Nov 3rd, two days before the ICE arrests. There had been local concern aired the week prior about feds/ICE possibly accessing Flock camera data. I think it was

I don’t need or use reading glasses. I have tried some +1.0 readers but they quickly cause me vertigo.

Hmm. I am 67 and require no corrective lenses. Two years ago, at my last exam, the doctor said I was “the one percent of the one percent of people” my age that do not require glasses. All of my siblings and both of my parents wore glasses.

There are quite a few private Flock camera installations (HOA, neighborhood, business) in my locale. I assume those are exempt from FOIA requests but wonder if law enforcement can access that data.

In the US. Maybe I am wrong but I see what appear to me to be multicolor ink jet POP printers. I see matrix in restaurants and shops and they are distinct as they are slow and noisy.

I rarely see thermal printers at grocery checkouts. Almost all that I see are ink.

I am reminded of the story of the American who stole rare feathers from a British museum. The Smithsonian wrote up the story: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/great-feather-... After the magazine article w

In the early 80s, a friend restored a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 170V Saloon that he found in pieces in the attic of an old downtown Seattle body shop. It took five pickup truck loads to get the entire car to his shop and about three years to compl

I sure liked Aldus Freehand a lot more than Adobe Illustrator although it has been so long that I don’t remember specifics other than I generally understood how to use it a lot better than Illustrator.

I think they’d need to be first-surface mirrors. Here are some 94% reflective acrylic mirrors. They are not outlandishly expensive. The high end glass ones are, though. https://www.firstsurfacemirror.com/acrylic-first-surfac

Seems an awfully extravagant use for extended periods of time. The hourly cost of operating a helicopter, particularly a turbine ship, is very high, several hundred per hour.

My friend’s Aga was natural gas. I remember him saying it cost very little to run (early 1990s). I doubt that is still true today.
