Maybe you should also ask how you can grow traffic. If you're already seeing $30 eCPM, then there's a good chance that revenue would grow in line with traffic.

This is also good for job searching and client seeking--especially if you're a web developer/designer. The quality of the websites of Inc 5000 companies is astoundingly low, and I'm sure an enterprising person could do really well pitching

I met a guy at a startup related meet up here in Chicago. I shared my story, and he liked it. It turned out that he was doing some writing for The Startup Foundry, and he said that he'd love to interview me (I had pitched TSF before and rec

Google continues to leverage its power to provide a better experience for their users as they click on links they find through search. This is one example, and First Click Free is another. The flip side of this is that publishers are now of

I'd argue that the supply of money should keep pace with production, not population growth. Though you'd expect those two to be strongly correlated.

It's pretty interesting to see just how drastically Panda affected some very large sites. Most of the sites shown are the kind of sites that Panda was designed to deemphasize in the search results. It's what Google got right with Panda. Wha

I actually "invented" this idea back in 2008 ( here's my post: http://www.onedayonejob.com/blog/use-facebook-ads-to-make-em... ). A lot of people have come up with it independently since. Because it's done before, it's not nearly as inter

Oddly enough, there actually is a baseball statistic that takes strikeouts out of the equation. It also takes out home runs. It's called Batting Average on Balls In Play or BABIP. You can see the formula here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

I submitted this because I'm a "victim" of Panda, and this article did a good job of explaining the frustration I'm dealing with. A lot of the commenters seem to feel that Google doesn't owe webmasters anything. I disagree. Every time a SER

I didn't realize that the unpaid internship situation is as bad in Ireland as it is here in the U.S. My startup helps college students find entry level jobs and internships, so I'm constantly aware of what the latest trends are. One trend t

Why not use your own software to create niche job boards? Not only will it generate revenue streams, but it will also help you better understand your customers and further improve your software.

I think that a lot of entrepreneurs leave money on the table because they're scared to do something that they think feels cheap. In a case like this, it's probably a tiny minority that would be turned off by this. I'd be absolutely shocked
