Good for Apple. None of that would change if there was a simple free option for sideloading though.

Interesting. Thanks for elaborating. If investigators don't have any power to do anything that a normal public person can do, like finding public information or digging through someone's trash...then I don't see why anyone sh

Seriously? Explain that to the 500 person company that I'm writing an app for. We have to pay $299/year to Apple just for the privilege of putting software on our own fucking devices. That's some bullshit right there. The fre

What does general purpose mean? It means I get to do what I wan. Anyone who complains that they can't do something that Apple won't let them is a candidate. Anybody who jailbreaks is definitely one. There are plenty.

I don't run Linux as my main desktop OS for the same reason - drivers. It seems like you lose either way. I don't feel locked in at all with Windows though. Never have. With Apple, I feel locked into their hardware. With Microsoft

It sounded a bit condescending to me. Besides that it was an empty comment; a claim with zero citations - not very useful at all. Anyway, I'm sure that I don't care if an unknown language pioneered something. The language that mak

I think we need to point out that you personally have a strong pro-Apple bias that can be clearly seen in your comment history. Also that the whole "Apple is the only one who innovates" sentiment is a really old piece of fanboy pa

People who really like Windows (including me) generally seem to dislike the full-screen button in OS X though, so how is that placating anyone? Everywhere I look I find people saying that window management in Windows is miles ahead of OS X.
