I'm wondering how they plan on rolling this out, do they just send a company wide email asking everyone to download the app? As an employee if I refuse or ignore the directive am i subject to disciplinary action?

It seems more likely to me that North Korea would deploy nukes via lower tech means. Commercial shipping or aircraft from mainland China, maybe even smuggling nukes into Mexico and across the border. Their missile systems have a lot of scru

This seems like it would be noticed quickly if access to the internet stops working. Can it proxy intercepted traffic to the real internet? Does the raspberry pi need its own internet connection in order to act as a proxy, or can it get

Well by the same token, sims offered a simple way to move contacts between devices, which was otherwise difficult to do without a pc and proprietary cables/software to export data from the phone.

The JEP explains it pretty clearly. "Improve the start-up time of both small and large Java applications, with at most a limited impact on peak performance."

Hotspots aren't really going to be any faster with this change. The jvm already does a pretty good job of optimising hot code, which is why the vm is literally called hotspot. AOT compilation is mostly intended to address startup time,

I think his main issue is that the cache has to operate outside of the application process, adding overhead. Languages with shared state can have much simpler and more efficient caching, no io, no de/serialisation.

It seems you have to add the "build-scan" dependency to the build, agree to its license, then run your builds with an extra flag before it sends data off to their services.
