If parler defined their API in an open format, that anyone could implement, could a generic client app be allowed on the app store?

I've also watched it, and a few other videos on the channel. Frankly, his videos just seem to be minimally editorialized recitals of wikipedia pages. For someone that has made so many videos on nuclear accidents, he seems to have a p

Yeah, it was certainly cherry picked to illustrate a point. Australia is even higher than Sweeden, yet both the UK and Australia are currently governed by conservative parties. I'm an Australian myself, and in favor of socialized medic

Here is a comparison of US life expectancy vs a selection of socialist governed nations[0]. US life expectancy may have plateaued, but doesn't appear to be in decline, and it's still above even Cuba, which has perhaps the highest

I didn't really get that far with it, but the first issue I ran into, was that the program wouldn't work at all, just errored out with no logging, even after passing all available debug flags. Spent hours digging through the code

Oh wow, I had no idea that terraform had implemented a CDK frontend. That's awesome. I've been writing a bunch of regular CDK code, which is AWS specific, I loathe HCL, and I was a bit disappointed by the quality of pulumi when

The personal/political aspect aside, I can think of multiple projects that could have benefited from an approach like this. I'm often astonished by the inefficiency of project delivery, particularly in large companies. Teams spend

The benchmark in that article comparing JWT to opaque session id's doesn't mention what database setup is used or what JWT signing scheme is used. Presumably it's just using a HMAC, I think if it used RSA or an asymmetric sig

Simple, JWT, pick one. Really don't understand the obsession with JWT, especially if you don't need SSO. Only real advantage of JWT, vs the tried and true random session_id+database approach, is that you don't need the DB. Wh

Adding an `Option` type to an existing language doesnt really solve many problems unless you can also somehow remove it's existing support for `null. Java added `Optional` and while it makes interacting with newer API's clearer, t

I do a lot of build automation work, and running containers within containers would be super useful for me. That said docker-in-docker doesn't work without running privileged or forwarding the host port. It's a non-starter for me,
