Maven and gradle don't have lockfiles(by default), and have never really had a serious need for them, because dependency declarations generally don't use ranges. The central repositories don't allow versions to be replaced, a

There is a lot of bad information out there about this issue. What I have gathered so far, is that this is actually a real problem, but it may not affect most configurations. This[0] seems to be the original vulnerability analysis, and this

In the context of a game engine, when you have fast moving objects, and your collision detection only runs a few times each second, how do you detect if objects should have collided, if the fast moving object fully passes through another, b

I thought the framing of CPU's as specialized, and GPU's as the opposite was a bit odd and missleading. If anything it's GPU's that are specialized to address a narrow set of problems.

With a cluster bomb/submunitions, you should see a bunch of impacts all at the same time, in this video the impacts all seem to be spaced apart at a rate similar to the fire rate of a grad. With the frame rate and resolution of the vid

Not that it makes a whole lot of difference, but those explosions don't appear to cluster munitions. Probably some kind of fragmentation rocket fired from a grad[0]. [0]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BM-21_Grad

It seems like the whole point of the "singlepass" compiler is to avoid "JIT bombs", which in the context of compiling WASM in a smart-contract blockchain solution, could be a vector for a DOS attack. If you aren't c
