The section on trying to attenuate outside wifi signals interested me. There is a bunch of hand wavy information on building faraday cages online, some people suggesting to utilize a microwave oven, since they operate at the same frequency.

Yeah it's just guilt by association, and a lazy way of avoiding the arguments. Are there Sinophobes that support the lab leak theory? Yes. Are there Hamas supporters that attend Gaza ceasefire demonstrations? Yes. Doesn't mean tha

What about gas peaker plants? I think people are letting perfect be the enemy of good, sure they output carbon, but they seem like a much more affordable option for buffering dips in renewables output, compared to batteries or nuclear.

ECS fargate is pretty easy to scale, and much more cost effective. I personally don’t think running on EC2 is particularly difficult to manage, and it’s even cheaper again.

No mention of the Ultra. Should we expect an M3 Ultra, with the interposer, or have they ditched that idea? I can't really tell from the die shot if it's been cropped out, or is just missing.

Maven and Java really don’t get enough credit for how well it’s dependency management works. So many inferior dependency management systems for other languages have come along later, and learned nothing from those that came before it.

While it lacks a user-friendly installation process, I've had a great experience so far with running the windows version of steam via the game-porting-toolkit. I just run gameportingtoolkit-no-hud ~/my-game-prefix 'C:\P

Cool project. Is there any way to scale the UI for high dpi displays? On a 2:1 display, the fonts look aliased, if I set the browser zoom to 50%, the UI looks crisp, but everything is a bit small to be useful.

Sure, live and let live, but there is no way I would use a library that doesn't maintain a version history, especially so given the nature of go's non-centralized dependency management system. Even if you pin your dependencies to

Don’t really agree with your assertion, but I imagine that blue collar work has much higher rates of self employment, compared to white collar work.

It’s a good distinction to make, logging for client based systems, is essentially UI design. For a web app, serving lots of concurrent users, they are essentially unreadable without tools, so you may as well optimise the logs for tool based

You probably just disagree with him about what constitutes anti-labor practices. I can't think of many other public figures that have spent as much time as him, advocating for blue collar work.

Seems like it’s common across all EVs for the range to be inflated by around 20%, at least for freeway driving. In a recent review, a Tesla did a slightly better job than most of the cars tested, as far as portion of stated range achieved.
