Congratulations! You just got an offer for a buy out. This could be the best thing that has ever happened to you. Depending on the price and size here, very little chance / or unlucky for them to go nuclear option. The last thing they

It is odd. Also harder to trust a small org. Maybe an angle to getting a size-able slice of the browser market for a start up at this point would be just being super simple, very private-first, and than have a better development experience

The second comment. The telecoms via 5G have been positioning themselves to rent their infrastructure on-demand. The AWS partnership is this but Amazon then re-extending it to developers on their platform as part of their "Cloud"

Become a telecom as a service! Super cool. For those who are glancing over, this is a big deal. 5G isn't really like 4G upgraded. It's more its own thing. I believe this has been available though for a while and many telecoms have

We are saying the same thing. I reiterated it poorly. Just also poking fun of how Google both killed the "real" blog industry and forced all the good content on reddit (which ironically does every anti-SEO thing ever and where peo

What's kind of funny is there was a time where Google used to stand for --literally anything-- and would punish a site like reddit on search results for having such a user hostile interface. For some reason though (probably because the

Depends on your age. $1M in 30s? Congrats you won the game. $1M in 40s? Congrats you are doing well.

This is excellent… Congrats and super useful! I will no longer write some pretty gnarly jQuery in console to do the same thing.

Weird comment. You kind of miss the point entirely. Serverless is about scale — not about not having a backend. It’s a CDN with a backend which is attractive. Effortless, infinitely scalable, dynamic web apps.

Agree. Also, FWIW, what Cloudflare built is definitely a nice option. I would prefer even closer integration though and will be test driving this. But… This is almost just like an index.html and api.php file on a server. I think what devs r

I could not downvote this faster. Ridiculous and wrong. Shameful advice. I be curious know your age, income, and net worth to see how out of touch you are. Do not take this advice and debt at this ratio. - take home is gross income not net

This is kind of exactly my point in not owning the full stack with Serverless. I'd be a bit nervous right now if I built my business / app on that.

I think an executive has commented before that is not going to happen. Things can change though. If I were Vercel, absolutely would not sell either. They aren't like "Netlify" and positioned to be truly the goat of serverless

Cloudflare will regret not having a developer go-to framework for their advanced Worker stuff one day. I think they are waiting for someone else to build for it which is IMO the completely wrong approach for the dream of the serverless app.

It’s not just ads - there’s a general feeling with a lot of their products and services priorities have shifted away from protecting the user. You could find a bone to pick with any big company. It’s just clear priorities at the company hav
