Please share your reasoning - as the sibling comment mentions, there was a series of high profile online cash cases at the time, KYC being the biggest problem. It'd be weird if they didn't think hard about avoiding the same fate a

Perhaps it was a tradeoff they knowingly made to not have it become illegal immediately.

I didn't diminish a thing. If anything, it was a stab at the dumb religion the damned government is basing it on. I lived through communism in Europe and was present during the local revolution, I know very well how much courage is req

New iPhones. It's very common to buy secondhand in these markets. The satellite-able ones will need some time to "trickle down" but it's going to happen - especially if it offers this feature.

Right now there's practically a revolution because they don't want to wear a piece of fabric on heads. I don't think they could.

Let's see the governments try to ban iPhone. What a nice revolution trigger.

That's the problem of democracy - if it's only those who have to sacrifice who are voting in that particular governing entity, it's never ever going to pass.

The actual point is that there is no such thing in Russian law. Only "mobilization" - a full, complete, impartial one. So this is actually "a mobilization", the "partiality" of it is just making it sound nice

"Funded by" is very distinct from what's happening here. This is another Gaia-x, remember, the EU big tech cloud killer?

The point is I'm not going to compare against small libs with no ecosystem, slow maintenance, small community and low amount of developers ready to use it - these new libs sound nice but it's beta software, not something to be use

You have dynamic imports too if you need IoC.

An ES module is encapsulated enough. You can dependency inject with them as you wish. It's like having a class, no need for a class inside a class. The biggest argument is that my functional-ish code is always 3x shorter with the same

Silicon Valley got big thanks to government-funded defense projects. The question is whether SV will return to its past or rather will support US isolationism - in which case the potential new defense projects might be kinda useless.

I could simply ask the people... At the project I talked about in my original comment we openly discussed looking for new contracts during the standup. Pretty hard to miss it for all sides. But sure, be careful people.

Lol, you really think someone is going to stray off the well-supported path for apps like these for 1-10% gain? This app shows a loading indicator quite a lot. Speed is important but nobody cares about raw speed this much. What we care abou

As opposed to what? Vue is slower and Angular too. Perhaps Svelte might be faster but the programming paradigm is a little weird. Writing pure JS is bullshit - I tried it few months ago and even a very simple app - for public transport sche

If the job is this bad, the other people are most likely going to be leaving too, all by themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if they activated their LinkedIn already. Asking them to go work together is nothing wrong.

There was no way to make async rendering possible with classes. It was necessary and they spent a lot of time trying different approaches that'd continue the old paradigm, but it couldn't be done.

Yeah, many times. I'm always joining a new contract with at least some people from the previous ones. Never had anyone care in the slightest - it's not like the person would've stayed anyways. Why is it their business at all?

It's illegal to poach people (make them work for your company). It's not illegal to find a new job together with your friends. But sure, being quiet about it is an option too - choose based on the situation. And indeed, err on the

Don't destroy your mental/physical health for a shitty managed company, one time I had a project just like this, pushed it and it ended very badly - in a psychiatric hospital. Find a new job and move on, take the good devs with yo

Yes, it's much much smaller than the iPhone business. Of course, it'd be a huge company by itself, but Apple got to $1T thanks to iPhone, not Mac - by far.

Seems like they've chosen a different business model back then and since it didn't work out so well (compare Mac/macOS market penetration to iPhone/iOS) they changed it to something that allows them to capture more reven

Not sure what's your point. Yes, deadlines are arbitrary just as most things are. That most things are doesn't change a thing about correct estimates being practically impossible and deadlines harmful.

Could you please describe why not? Seems like they're making matter from electricity here. I'm not a physicist in any way but I'm really interested in knowing what I'm missing so I can learn about it.

Is this effect usable to make a rocket that doesn't need to carry its own propellant mass but instead can make it on the fly from (eg. Laser supplied) electricity?
