Anyone else reading the OP (and these comments), think it's completely elitist? A bunch of privileged kids wanting more privileges... LOL. Right, we should tax the poor more, and the rich less as well (oh wait...)

I think you need to look at it bigger picture. Ask yourself, why they are not disiplined, and why they repeatedly act out? This notion that people are born smart, and others are just born morons, is a false dichotomy. We shouldn't be askin

Right, but that is just your opinion. This is clearly a value proposition offered by apple. Some people don't mind the closed system, and opaque rules.

Reading this, I sympathise completely with the developers (being a developer myself). And I also see the uncomfortable parallel with arguments I've seen/made about the music industry. Poignant.

The headline is pure link bait. The article concludes that you should do more than 'just testing'. It does make that one statement about code reviewing being faster at finding bugs, that testing. But it discounts TDDing (i.e it looks at p

My point was about: why is china called out so much. Do U.S citizens feel that there is no corruption in the U.S? > I think you have to live here to understand the level of fear around corruption I'm quite familiar with the attitudes w

What are they about then? Is there more democracy? No. Are there more freedoms? No. Is there less money? Yes. What's this movement about? People are losing jobs, the lower-socio economic groups are the first to feel this. Students are amon

Really, corruption is the norm in China. More so than the rest of the world? Have any evidence of that? that isn't anti-china agg-prop? Business is clearly done differently in china, and there is a lot of protectionism, but that is not un

<sarcasm> That's right, poor people shouldn't have an education! </sarcasm> That's what you are advocating with "Government shouldn't be involved in education." Is that really what you mean?

I'd like to believe this article. That there is some kind of movement occuring. But more likely people just get upset when they run out of money, and everyone is running out of money...

I don agree with that. Sure knowing JavaScript is helpful in debugging. But you can be very effective with coffeescript without knowing too much about JavaScript.

This blog and some of the comments below are just crap. If you haven't TDDed before (for a non trivial project) you simply don't know what you are talking about, and it's apparent in your ignorant opinions. Sorry if that's a bit harsh but

If (pure) capitalism has never existed then Marx/Engels would have never written Capitol nor come up with The Communist Manifesto. It was a direct response to what they saw as the failings of capitalism (as in the real thing happening in t

not to labor the point. But the lock file is in the repo, it doesn't matter if it's updated, there is a version in the repo.

The .lock file will have the versions that are currently bundled, so you can always check what versions are bundled there. But I guess that requires a bit of messing around, where as what you do seems quite straight forward.

Is this an issue for people? I have bundle update as a part of my build/release process, if things break, I either update, or freeze the version. How do other people deal with this?
