copyright infringement is also 'law'... so I'm comparing laws with laws. I'm not comparing the individual actions of the companies. Only that sometimes "the law" is not useful anymore. Which yes, I am saying that copyright needs to change,

No, because it provides a useful service... It's like saying Uber is unacceptable because it may violate (the outdated) laws in New York.

Did they turn it into this minefield? Or do they just play the 'evil' game better than others. I'm don't like to split things into 'Good' and 'Evil' (as they are inherently subjective). But the patent system seems to be the problem here,

I've got a perfectly good retina screen, and I looked at all the screens in my local apple store, and they are all good. Thus all Retina screens are fine, and any defects must be a minor problem. Alternatively I could realise that my local

I never said it was. I asked for how such an absurdity would occur (i.e an explanation). Reductio ad absurdum tends to appeal to emotion (as in this case it has).

That's an interesting line to draw. Both breaches of copyright involve a monetary loss. This feels like a hypocritical stance, but I could be misunderstanding you. :\

Reductio ad absurdum. Care to try to explain 'why' for any of those assertions?

It is only 'different' because we have defined/framed copyright in the way we have. Infringing copyright is not that different from copying a business model. (You are still copying something from someone else).

Aren't you proving the parents point? He was saying the only 60+ developers have always been developers... Also, having a wikipedia page that you wrote yourself, doesn't really say anything...

Politics isn't as clear cut as you are making it. What treaty (specifically) are you referring to? Its extradition treaty? Well yeah, it'd need to break that. But why is that completely out of the question?

Kind of an irrelevant point the internet is not part of the U.S... nor should the U.Ses laws apply to it.

I don't understand this... Haven't we solved this problem (i.e cryptography?) Monitoring equipment in the cables don't help you solve math problems any faster?

It was solved, and he (Fermat) was likely wrong, given the resulting proof. (5 + 3) % 8 = 0 is not the same as 5 + 3 = 0 I'm not looking for mystery, I'm wondering why people think it exists, and are faking its existence by being imprecise.

Hardly the 'mystery of number theory' the poster was talking about. There was no 'mod 8' syntax expressed in the example.

Much like the Israel/Palestine conflict. They believe the country is theirs. Hence why they want unification. As I say, good cause is debatable.

As I've said in other threads. How about Israel, they do all of those things[1], have Nukes, and are massive aggressors in their part of the world. [1](Except the Stalinism)

I answered you directly (where you brought it up). Israel repeatedly attacked/s its neighbours (even occupying them). North Korea is timid in comparison. Good cause is debatable (for both Israel, and North Korea).

Iraq, and Afghanistan are also apparently "terrorist nations"... but not Pakistan? Or Yemen? (Despite Al-Qaeda having proven links to both). But why is NK having nukes a problem? There is no proof they want to use them. Just posturing...
