I'm old and have been on the Internet since the Prodigy days in 90. Open Ai has the best start of any company I can remember. Even better than Google back in 98 when they were developing their algo and giving free non-monetized search

Self hosting and using your payment processor of choice is always the best move. Own your own data or be prepared for the jig to be up at some point. This is what every platform that scales does.

You clearly need to don't understand how Ai currently works. It predicts the next most likely word. With code it does the same thing and its prediction skills aren't tuned by humans perfectly yet.
