I am from the EU, so tell me about it :) But yes, the sibling comment is right: this isn't something you can expand to other countries with the push of a button. Personally, for this specific functionality, I don't think the EU wo

As someone who also runs their own custom email domains, I agree it would be nice if I could manage those through Relay. That said, I'd still be giving out Relay addresses way more often, since those email addresses can't be link

Sorry about that. The form should only be shown for people in the USA, but detecting the country you're in can't be done perfectly. Which is a good reminder - we'll look into making the US-only part clearer. (I'm an engi

What are you supposed to do though? Surely stating that you don't want to talk to him or want a lawyer isn't likely to be deescalating?

What have years and years of criticising and pointing-at brought us, other than a couple of burnt-out devs? And is there anywhere where we can see that this elite leadership suddenly changed their minds on allowing this, rather than a devel

I don't understand half of the post, but claiming that they're doing this for "architectural purity" sounds ungenerous to me. The post lists a couple of tangible benefits, most of which do, I believe, relate to performan

Exactly - "heavy" frontend frameworks are like adding another project. It's not that there aren't plenty of situations where that is perfectly fine, but if all you need to do is adding a few client-side effects, I'd

The challenge is that it's hard to see the value of good commits if you've never done a `git blame` or `git bisect`, but you can't really use those until you have good commits. A bit of a chicken and egg problem.

It's not so much that a single case affects state in both the frontend and the backend; it's that in some cases, you're going to have to reason about the lifecycle of your backend, whereas in others, it's the frontend li

I imagine it's not so much about learning curve, but about the number of concepts to keep in mind while working on your code. If an application has lots of client-side state (and the framework to support that), for example, that means
