TypeScript even took off after the earth had been salted by CoffeeScript. Many people were sceptical about TypeScript because they assumed it was as big of a buy-in as CoffeeScript - rather than it just being JS with some (mostly) strictl

"Skeptical" doesn't mean completely against their usage. From the author in the comment section: > “Embarrassingly parallel” tasks definitely make a lot of sense to do in Rust.

I think truly full stack is probably too much to ask: just accessibility is a huge area of knowledge, for example. I can fiddle around with back-ends, but I want someone more experienced to check my work or just directly help out with e.g.

I've been using this version for a while, presumably it's just gone under the radar enough. So please don't upvote this too much, haha.

That's weird, I thought the original also decrypted them. (You pass the key in the hash fragment, which your browser doesn't send to the server.)

Vertical tabs, an improved sidebar, and a better profile switcher are all in development for Firefox I believe, so that's something. And I guess the collapsed vertical tabs mode on Firefox gets pretty close to focus mode? (You can try

It hasn't been maintained for ages, so at some point you'll want to use some new dependency and find out that you can't. And it's very slow, too, if I recall correctly.

What's extra fun is that that insurance only covers treatments to a fairly low amount, just slightly higher than the price of your regular checkups. (That said, I believe dental issues that are the result of e.g. accidents do get cover

Your source for helmets making up lots of deaths is talking about a recent increase in deaths, even though the lack of helmets has been a thing for decades. It's not the lack of helmets by itself that's a problem; it's the co

For last-mile deliveries in dense cities with good infrastructure, cars have to make detours and spend time stuck in traffic, I imagine. Plus, you don't need a driver's licence for a cargo bike, so you can also hire younger (cheap
