Seriously, we import all the hyper-commercial "holidays" from the US, and then skip the one fun one (Halloween). (Yes I know (I think) that it did not originate in the us.)

Surely a site that banned ElonJet can't with a straight face be called a beacon of free speech? (Edit: I would be very interested in an attempt to justify that based on free speech principles though.)

That generated some more question :) But on the ECSS homepage I see selectors like `html`, `.flex-module` or `.is-loading` (I'm assuming `flex-module` and `is-loading` aren't components - if they are, then that sounds like being p

That's fair enough, but I do still expect that someone who really wants to avoid CSS will still be put off by the extent to which Tailwind still is, in essence, CSS. I think Tailwind has advantages (the ones you note), but "being

Well, Tailwind doesn't really solve that for you either - you pretty much have to know CSS to be able to use it effectively, in my experience. Technically, you may not really be writing CSS, but in practice, I think all the reasons you

Ok, my problem is that I don't know just by reading the styles that other contributors wrote, whether they are still relevant, or if the HTML they applied to was changed or removed. They didn't write clean atomic commit, and I can

I have some American "bicycle people" as colleagues, and most Dutch people certainly aren't "bicycle people" like they are, even if they cycle every day, just like how people just driving a car aren't necessari

The question is: is the flow worse for people in general, or only the ones in cars. If those cyclists and pedestrians would've been in cars (i.e. if there wasn't good bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure), would the flow for the

I think it depends on the teacher, but mine didn't teach it either. However, I have been taught from a young age to watch out before I open the door, which is still very relevant even if you're not in the driver's seat.

Keep in mind that this looks like it's using a lot of spaces, but there's only one lane for cars each way. Cyclists and pedestrians use way less space than cars, so if a significant part of the population uses those modes of trans

Well, that's a confusing name - we're using JSX (as in, regular JSX) to write MJML templates in. Main pain point at the moment is dark mode, but it doesn't seem like JSX email has much to offer there either, unfortunately.

In the Netherlands at least, you just get a voting card sent to you by mail, and you have to hand that in to vote. Since you just have a single card, you can only vote once.
