Maybe they can help at the margins, but 60,000 new tracks per day is simply too many to deal with in a fair way, "major" company or not.

Since this is about music, specifically, and the author mentions Spotify, I'll point out that Spotify sees 60,000 new tracks released every day. If Reddit et. al. didn't suppress self-promotion, they'd get overwhelmed.

Probably the same way you start a blog in 2022, 2021, or 2020. I know there are ways around it, but does HN have filters for headlines ending in "in <year>"?

Very interesting. I'm working on on app that has "slides" users click a button to progress through. Now I'm wondering if users would prefer to "scroll" through the content instead.

"AI-free" is pretty clear. "Organic" is much more subjective. The same applies to Organic food, if I'm not mistaken.

Usually Hacker News strips out "How" (and "Why") at the start of article titles to prevent this. I'm not sure why there are exceptions sometimes.

Apple loves disrupting and differentiating in the consumer market. Not so much in the developer market, though. XCode, swift, etc. have always felt more like a means to an end (consumer apps for iDevices).

Well, it's easier to shoplift something than buy it, too. No need to wait in line to check out. No need to have a credit card or get cash from an ATM, either.

Statistically, you'd expect the most successful (and least successful) TLDs by success rate to be low-volume. The high-volume domains will cluster around the middle.

It should be noted C4 is for software architecture, specifically. Not system architecture, generally. When diagramming (say) a cloud system architecture, you should use the abstractions that come with that cloud environment (in AWS it

Not for nothing, but static type checking isn't some kind of fad. It's been the rule, not the exception, since the 1980s at least.
