You make it sound like he's at deaths door. Peter Norvig is 66. I know ageism is big in the tech industry, but this seems a little excessive.

This is just a bad article, bordering on blogspam. How could that possibly make them go bankrupt when they've secured $10 billion in funding just this year. Also, noone forces them to provide chatgpt for free. If that was actually goin

To relieve eye strain. Reading on an e-ink screen is so much more comfortable than on any emissive monitor. With current tech the downside is of course reduced refresh rate as well as low color contrast. Depending on the workload, that migh

Don't you think it feels incredibly degrading and violating to have your face stitched into porn in a way that's supposed to be as realistic as possible? Without your consent? Doesn't really matter if the video is real, the p

I don't think that's a fair characterization of vertical farming. Yes, some of the startups in vertical farming say that they can print money right now , and I am with you that this is stupid. However I think the actual value pro

Seems like this really doesn't have a whole lot to do with vertical farming, but rather just startups being startups and vc money coming with the strings that it does. Which is good, because vertical farming will only ever become more

May I recommend Orion? It's based on Safaris engine, but imo improves massively on its ui (for example it comes with a fantastic (opt-in) tree-style tab browser). But most importantly it supports chrome and firefox extensions. Most of

I know this breaks the rules by being needlessly snarky as well as not adding anything whatsoever to the conversation. Will remove if anyone is annoyed by this, just felt the need to type it out.

I sometimes wonder how Elon Musk would be as a person if he hadn’t become filthy rich. Does being the richest man on the planet just enable his craziness, or did it cause it? But then I let go of that thought, because I don’t want to give a

That's not the point. Yes, there are many legit startups, exploring the very real value add that AI has to offer. But the people that previously sold scammy web3 stuff did move on to peddle scammy ai stuff.

I agree that Witcher 3 doesn't count as "current gen" anymore, but it wasn't meant to represent that. I picked my examples to show that we've seen high fidelity games throughout the last decade. All of those games p
