Or, you just catch the panic in a defer up the call chain, log the error, and then exit that goroutine. Like: https://golang.org/src/net/http/server.go#L1694

Unless the C++ draft is 90+% stdlib, it's still quite a difference in size (printed, which would not be a good way to use it, the Go spec is 90 pages). And I'd consider it normative, though not to the point of "spec wins if

I think the true argument is that you can read the Go specification in a slightly extended sitting, whereas (for example), the current working draft for C++ is 1416 pages.

func NewBaz() Baz { in a package called baz is already unidiomatic, in cases like that, the function should just be called `New`, leading to usage like: thing := baz.New() which, to my eyes, is perfectly fine.

And then you have others with 90+ repos, and 75%+ of them are original code, and have thousands and thousands of lines of code. Maybe all your candidates have been weak/just out of school. Also, forked repos are fairly obvious, and th

more accurately it's for index := range list {} and for index, value := range list {} Yes, these 2 version do perform very similarly, you are just ignoring the second return value in the first version, i.e.: for index

Range is hardly return-type polymorphic. It always returns the same things, you are just free to ignore them, i.e. for k := range map { } is the same thing as for k, _ := range map { } Would requiring the second version inste
